FAQ

Storage Container Weight Restrictions

Transporting a container weighing more than 7,000 lbs. can be dangerous, causes excessive wear and tear on delivery equipment, and violates NDOT law. Each packed storage container will be weighed prior to transport. If your storage container exceeds 7,000 lbs., you will be responsible for removing enough contents to comply with the weight restrictions.

Preparing Storage Containers for Return

We ask that our customers sweep out containers after they have been emptied in order to avoid a $35 cleaning fee.

Storage Container Delivery and Pickup Scheduling

Our staff is scheduled and arranged each day to most efficiently handle our customer's ideal delivery times and dates. Changes to scheduled container pick up, delivery, or relocation must be made at least 24 hours in advance. A $50 rescheduling fee applies to any scheduling changes made within 24 hours of the originally scheduled time.

How to Prepare for Your Storage Container Delivery

It is imperative that you make sure you have enough space for delivery of your container and that you communicate with your homeowner’s association or rental management company ahead of your storage container delivery to ensure you have the smoothest possible storage container delivery experience. Here are some general guidelines we recommend:

  • Please allow for a clearance of 9 feet wide, 9 feet high, and up to 22 feet long for your storage container delivery. If your delivery area has a sloped surface and you would like your container to be level, please have wooden or concrete blocks ready to help our delivery professional level the container for you.
  • Paved surfaces are preferred, so please let us know ahead of time if your delivery space will not be paved so our delivery professional can prepare accordingly.
  • Reach out to your homeowner’s association or rental management company to inquire about any restrictions regarding placement of portable containers at or near your residence.
  • Check local laws and permit requirements for street placement if you plan to place your container on a public street.
  • Confirm with your insurance company to ensure that your policy will cover your possessions during storage and transport of your storage container.

We want to make your storage container experience as smooth and stress-free as possible! We know that details can change rapidly as your scheduled pickup, delivery, and re-spot dates approach, and are more than happy to work with you. We just ask for clear communication and up-to-date information throughout the process so we can best serve you.

What to Expect on Your Storage Container Delivery or Pickup Date

Before Your Scheduled Delivery or Pickup

  • To help ensure that we are prepared for each delivery, we utilize Google Earth and Zillow to get clear pictures of your property and neighborhood before your delivery date. If no images are available, we will typically do a drive-by instead.
  • 1-2 days ahead of your scheduled date, you will get a call or text from us to see if there are any last minute adjustments to your desired delivery or pick up, or any last minute details we should be aware of. We will then give you a specific delivery time window for when you can expect us to arrive with your storage container.

On The Day of Your Scheduled Delivery or Pickup

  • You will receive a text from us to notify you when we are approximately 30 minutes from arriving.
  • Please have someone at your delivery location to show us the exact spot you would like your storage container placed. We understand that may not always be an option, so if someone is not able to be present at the time of delivery, please text us photos, drawings, or a detailed description of where you would like your storage container placed prior to your scheduled delivery window.
